A Day in the Life of a Romance Author

Ever wonder what a romance author’s day looks like? Here’s a peek into mine:

Morning

I start the day with coffee (lots of coffee) and spend time plotting out scenes or rereading the last chapter I wrote (several times). Morning is my creative time when the words flow best.

Afternoon

After a quick lunch, I tackle the spicy scenes—because, let’s be honest, they require a lot of focus! This is when my playlists or favorite candles come into play to set the mood.

Evening

Editing, brainstorming, and answering emails fill my evenings. Sometimes I’ll take a walk to clear my head or jot down ideas for future stories.

Night

When inspiration strikes, I grab my computer and open my notes page and type out ideas before they escape. No matter how late it is, a story waits for no one! Even if it’s 2am!
